The thread is antique ecru size 30 Daisy thread passed down to me from my grandmother, who was born in 1890. This edging is being crocheted, not tatted, as I can do it faster.
That will be gorgeous all put together. That crocheted edging is very similar to the one on your bonnet!
ReplyDeleteyes, Karrieann, I noticed that right away when I looked at your bonnet. to me, it looks exactly the same, but wont' know for sure until the bonnet arrives.
ReplyDeleteI was only going to make 1 dress, but saw the green on an infrequent trip to a fabric store in the nearest town with one ~ 60 miles away. before I was able to complete the online purchase on etsy for the cream. so I will be making 2 dresses.
I am salivating over that green patterned fabric!
ReplyDeleteit is very pretty, I will enjoy wearing both dresses.
ReplyDeleteI find the thread amazing, especially since it looks like it is brand new! I love the color of it to. What a keepsake...
