A gift from the heart

I received this Dumpling Bag from a dear friend of mine.
MaryBeth from Nimble Fingers on the Prairie made this felted bag for me.
It holds a lot of thread and a folded pattern and some shuttles and hangs on my wrist. It has an extra ring on the handle. I use a climbers hook on my purse to keep my cell phone holder handy and it worked great to attach the Dumpling Bag to my purse this weekend.
I have written about Nimble Fingers on the Prairie before, but if you haven't checked it out, then please do so. MaryBeth has posted some free knitting patterns as well as offering knitted and quilted items for sale. The money going to help keep children warm in a Minnesota Winter.
The Dumpling Bag was first knitted, then embroidered and finally felted.
Thank you MaryBeth, I will treasure it.

  3. Thanks Carol and Gina,
I really like the bag too.
I have contributed to the charity MaryBeth runs and since I know MaryBeth, I know that it goes to the kids and not to administration.

  5. Thanks Steph,
I do feel lucky that MaryBeth made it for me.
Knitting I can't do, my tension is way too tight, now I can crochet, but tatting is my very fav.

  6. That was very sweet of you to feature the dumpling bag, Jeanne. I hope you enjoy it half as much as I have enjoyed that beautifully tatted ornament you made me for Christmas. And thanks for telling people about Nimble Fingers on the Prairie as well. We keep plugging away even this time of the year so that we can keep even more children warm this winter. You're a wonderful now as you have been the past 42 years. That makes me feel old for sure!

  7. Hi Marybeth, I have used your bag a few times already.
it works great to hold a project, thread and pattern. It hardly seems possible that we have know each other for that long, time sure moves fast.
